Cardiology Clinic Project

CLT, together with one of the existing hospitals in the area, is setting up a phase 1 cardiology diagnostics and treatment clinic facility.

Cardiac Clinic Project: There is no full-service Cardiovascular Heart Disease (CHD)facility in the Northern half of Ghana. Patients in this part of the country, with an average family income of $2 per day, will have to travel anywhere from 6 to 12 hours or more, to access services. Most cannot afford to make the trip, and the few who can, have to wait several months for an appointment. The resulting impacts of not having these services have resulted in countless fatalities. Therefore, CLT is working with the medical community in that part of the country, to develop a sustainable solution to address this problem.CLT, together with one of the existing hospitals in the area, is setting up a phase 1 cardiology diagnostics and treatment clinic facility. The facility will be set up to provide nonsurgical treatment plans. The project will involve repurposing and remodeling 5 rooms to house the clinic, purchasing equipment such as EKG machines, Holter monitors, Echocardiogram machines, etc, to furnish the facility, and recruiting medical professionals, who will help provide full-service diagnostic services and treatment. The estimated capital cost is $100,000.
