The Sampa District Hospital, a 90-bed facility serves a population of approximately 100.000 in the Jaman North District. The hospital has experienced very high mortality rates due to a lack of adequate equipment. The facility had very limited surgical capacity, and as a result, the quality of emergency care was severely compromised. At the CLT Gala in 2015, sufficient funds were raised to provide equipment to furnish another operating room at the hospital. The project cost was $57,000.
