2017 Wute Primary School Classroom Project

This project will assist in completing 6 classrooms on the campus.

Wute Primary School is comprised of grades K through 6th and is the only elementary school that supports 5 village communities in the Volta Region in Ghana, with an approx. the population of 1,500. Students usually drop out of school due to inadequate resources required to keep the students in school. The students currently meet under temporary makeshift sheds constructed from tree branches and other temporary materials. Having a school in the open, among other things, leaves the kids very distracted. With the school site located a few feet from the roads, the kids are constantly distracted by the noisy buses that frequently travel these dusty roads. This project will assist in completing 6 classrooms on the campus to keep the students and staff safe and help keep them focused. This project was completed within 2 years after kickoff.
